Driver stopped at gunpoint in possession of stolen car not reported recovered.

A man in Walls, Mississippi, was pulled over at gunpoint and handcuffed by Southaven police after Memphis officers failed to report his stolen car as recovered. The car was found by the victim himself, and he was able to drive it home. However, two days later, Southaven police officers pulled him over, and he was handcuffed and questioned. The officers later found out that Memphis police had not taken the vehicle off the National Crime Information Center. The victim's car was so damaged that it had to be totaled. The victim's mother is considering legal action against the officers involved.
