Drunk driver's dangerous getaway: Albuquerque to Ruidoso

Joseph Urvanejo, who admitted to killing two people in a drunk driving crash, has been allowed to take a two-day vacation to Ruidoso while awaiting sentencing. Urvanejo pled guilty to two counts of vehicular homicide but his sentencing was postponed until late July due to scheduling conflicts. The victims' families expressed frustration with the delays as Urvanejo remained out of jail. Despite objections from the state, the judge granted Urvanejo's request, stating that he has followed all court rules and is not a flight risk. Urvanejo faces up to 18 years in prison, and his sentencing is scheduled for July 28.
