Exclusive Interview: Dock Worker Describes Shocking Assault in Montgomery Brawl Driven by Violent White Mob

Dameion Pickett, a dock worker in Montgomery, Alabama, who was assaulted during a brawl at Riverfront Park, spoke out about the incident in an exclusive interview with "Good Morning America." Pickett, who was attacked by a group of boaters while trying to dock the Harriot II riverboat, expressed shock and stated that he was just doing his job. The altercation began when a private pontoon boat illegally parked in the riverboat's docking spot, and despite attempts to ask the owner to move it, Pickett had to intervene. Videos captured the assault, which led to a massive brawl involving white boaters and Black eyewitnesses who came to Pickett's defense. Several individuals have been arrested and charged, and the incident is still under investigation.
