Fatal Hit-and-Run on West Side Claims Woman's Life

A woman was killed in a hit-and-run incident on the West Side of Chicago. The driver of a Gray 2014 Kia Optima hit the woman while she was crossing the street in the crosswalk. The driver was traveling at a high rate of speed and failed to stop after hitting the woman. The victim was pronounced dead at Mount Sinai Hospital. The Major Accidents Unit is investigating the incident.
