Fatal Shooting at Atlanta Graduation Party Leaves One Teen Dead and Another Injured

A 16-year-old girl was shot and killed outside an Atlanta high school after a confrontation that began at a graduation party. Another 16-year-old boy was injured in the same incident but is currently in stable condition. The victim, Breasia Powell, was scheduled to begin working for the City of Atlanta on Tuesday as a participant in their youth employment program. The Atlanta Homicide Department believes those involved were also high school-aged and there is a $10,000 Crime Stoppers reward related to information about the shooting. The Atlanta Public Schools district is offering employment resources and mental health services to students and their families.
