Fatal Shooting in Downtown Madison Leaves One Dead and Police Searching for Motive and Suspect.

A 20-year-old man died after being shot in the 600 block of East Dayton Street in Madison early Sunday morning. Police believe the victim or someone in his group may have been targeted. Detectives are still trying to identify suspects and a motive in the shooting. Witnesses are encouraged to provide any information, even anonymously. This would be Madison's seventh homicide this year.
