Fatal Shooting Incidents Linked to Street Racing in Philadelphia

A teenager participating in illegal street racing in Philadelphia was shot and killed by state police after he struck two troopers with his car. The incident occurred early Sunday morning when State Troopers responded to reports of several vehicles and pedestrians illegally blocking the roadway. The teenager failed to yield and struck two of the troopers with his car, prompting one trooper to open fire. The teenager was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident is currently under investigation by Pennsylvania State Police and the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office.
