Fatal Shooting of Uber Driver by Passenger Who Thought She Was Being Kidnapped.

A Kentucky woman, Phoebe Copas, has been charged with murder after fatally shooting her Uber driver, Daniel Piedra Garcia, in El Paso, Texas. Copas allegedly believed she was being kidnapped and taken to Mexico after seeing traffic signs that read "Juarez, Mexico" during the ride. She grabbed a handgun from her purse and shot Piedra in the head, causing the vehicle to crash. Piedra was hospitalized for several days before his family took him off life support. Copas, who is being held on a $1.5 million bond, was originally charged with aggravated assault.
