Fatal Shooting Prompts Northwestern University Shelter-in-Place

Northwestern University was under a shelter-in-place for over an hour after a shooting killed one man and injured two teens at Clark Street Beach in Evanston. The suspects ran north toward the campus on Sheridan Road. Three people were shot, one of them fatally, at the beach. Police said the victims are not Northwestern University students. No one is currently in custody, and police said the shooting was not a random act.
