FBI busts catalytic converter theft ring in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

Seven men have been arrested for stealing over 470 catalytic converters in Massachusetts and New Hampshire, resulting in roughly $2 million in losses. The suspects targeted as many as 10 vehicles per night and worked with the skill and speed of a "NASCAR pit crew" to strip cars of their catalytic converters under the cloak of darkness. The men are facing charges including interstate transportation of stolen property and money laundering conspiracy. Catalytic converters are easy to steal yet costly to repair and can be sold on the black market for more than $1,000 each.
