FBI Foils Drone Attack Plot on Nashville Power Grid by White Supremacist

A man from Columbia, Tennessee, Skyler Philippi, has been arrested for attempting to use a drone equipped with explosives to attack a power facility in Nashville. Charged with attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction and attempted destruction of an energy facility, Philippi faces a potential life sentence if convicted. The FBI disrupted the plot, which was allegedly motivated by a racially extremist ideology, before any damage occurred. Philippi had been planning the attack since September, involving undercover FBI agents and purchasing explosive materials.
