FBI joins search for missing retired U.S. general in New Mexico
TL;DR
Retired U.S. Air Force Maj. Gen. William Neil McCasland, 68, who previously led GPS and space-defense programs, has been missing since Feb. 27 after leaving his Albuquerque home on foot. A Silver Alert was issued and the FBI is assisting Bernalillo County investigators in a broad search of the area; authorities say his unspecified medical issue adds urgency and there is no evidence of foul play. Neighbors have been canvassed, searches conducted, and the public is asked to share any information with the sheriff’s office.
