"Firefighter Fatally Shot at Family Gathering, Sibling Sought as Person of Interest"
TL;DR
A 47-year-old man, Carl Horning, was shot and killed at Horning's Hideout in North Plains, with his brother Robert Horning named as a person of interest by the Washington County Sheriff's Office. The incident may be connected to a family dispute over the conservatorship of their mother, Jane Horning, which has caused division among the siblings. Carl was a lieutenant with Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue, and his death has left the community and his coworkers mourning.
