Florida couple faces charges after allegedly imprisoning four children in a truck cab for years

Keisha Epps and Tamra Stewart were arrested in Jacksonville, Florida, after allegedly keeping four children in the cab of a semi truck for nearly seven years—feeding them poorly, denying schooling and medical care, and enabling sexual and physical abuse; two girls reported abuse by Stewart, while Epps did not stop it. The children slept on a single bunk, rarely left the cab, and last attended school in 2020. A 2026 medical exam revealed untreated injuries and an STD in one victim. Both suspects face multiple child-abuse charges, including sexual abuse and neglect, with Epps also charged for failing to report abuse.
