Florida Parents Charged in Toddler's Hot Car Death

A 2-year-old girl in Florida died after being left in a hot car for 14 hours by her parents, who have been arrested and charged with child neglect, drug possession, and drug paraphernalia. The child's temperature was 107 degrees when found, and the parents initially lied about how the child died. The couple had smoked marijuana and possessed methamphetamine, and the sheriff believes drugs were the cause of the tragedy. The 4-year-old sibling has been placed in the custody of the Department of Children and Families.
