Georgia Mom Arrested for Letting Son Walk Alone to Town

Brittany Patterson, a mother from Fannin County, Georgia, was arrested for reckless conduct after her 10-year-old son walked alone into town while she was at a doctor's appointment with her other child. Deputies found the boy walking to a gas station and, after contacting Patterson, deemed her unconcerned about his safety. Patterson, who was handcuffed in front of her children and released on a $500 bond, argues she did nothing wrong and plans to fight the charges, refusing to sign a safety plan offered by the sheriff's office.
