ICE Agent Faces Felony Assault Charge After Alleged Gunpoint on Minnesota Highway

Hennepin County prosecutors charged 35-year-old Gregory Donnell Morgan Jr., an ICE agent, with two counts of second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon for allegedly driving on the shoulder of Highway 62, pulling up beside another car, and pointing a handgun at its occupants. The incident occurred Feb. 5 in Richfield, and charges were filed swiftly, marking the first criminal case against federal agents tied to Operation Metro Surge. Morgan is not in custody, and prosecutors say the case followed standard information-gathering processes led by the Minnesota State Patrol.
