Inmate tunnels through wall to stab neighboring prisoner in Georgia jail

An inmate in Rice Street jail in Fulton County, Georgia, dug a hole through a wall in a shower stall to gain access to a neighboring cell and stabbed another inmate multiple times. The victim sustained superficial stab wounds and was treated in the jail's medical unit. Officers discovered several weapons in both cells after the incident. The inmate responsible for the attack will face additional criminal charges. The jail's interim commander stated that the facility has outlived its useful life, making it challenging to provide a safe environment for staff and inmates.
