Judith Neelley denied parole for 1982 murder of 13-year-old girl.

Judith Ann Neelley, who was convicted of murdering a 13-year-old girl in 1982, has been denied parole by the Alabama Board of Pardons and Parole Boards. Neelley and her husband abducted the girl from a mall in Georgia, sexually assaulted her, injected her with drain cleaner, and then fatally shot her. Neelley's death sentence was commuted to life in prison in 1999, and she will be eligible for parole consideration again in 2028. Alabama Governor Kay Ivey wrote a letter to the Board of Pardons and Paroles stating that Neelley should not be allowed to leave prison.
