Lakeland School Coach Arrested for Sexual Battery of Student

A Lakeland High School track coach, Jarvis Young, has been charged with sexual battery on a student. The 40-year-old coach allegedly touched a 16-year-old boy inappropriately during a massage session. The sheriff is urging other students who may have had similar interactions with the coach to come forward. Young had previously been accused of inappropriate behavior twice, but no charges were filed. The school superintendent has expressed deep concern and announced plans to re-screen other coaches.
