Law Enforcement Shootout in Clackamas County Leaves Deputies Injured and Suspects Arrested

Two Clackamas County sheriff's deputies were shot by suspected burglars during a break-in in an industrial area near Portland. One deputy suffered a fractured pelvis from a ricochet wound, while the other was struck in the arm. Both are expected to recover. The suspects were apprehended and will likely face attempted murder charges. The shooting prompted the closure of nearby roads and the Springwater Corridor trail. The FBI is assisting with the investigation.
