Lawmaker Reveals Disturbing Detail About Uvalde Shooting During Gun Law Hearing

During a hearing on a bill to raise the age to buy a semiautomatic rifle from 18 to 21, Texas Rep. Joe Moody revealed that the Uvalde shooter wrote "LOL" with his victims' blood on a classroom's whiteboard. The shooter killed 19 students and two teachers, including three pairs of "lovebirds" who had childhood crushes on each other. Moody used the graphic detail to convey the impact of additional regulations on guns. The bill was left pending in the Statehouse's Community Safety Committee at the end of the hearing.
