Danette Colbert, 49, was convicted in Jefferson Parish of negligent homicide and racketeering in the death of Telemundo reporter Adan Manzano; her accomplice Rickey White, 35, was found guilty of racketeering but not of manslaughter; prosecutors described a criminal enterprise that drugged victims and used stolen cards, including Manzano's, after his death; Manzano died Feb. 5 while covering the Super Bowl; Colbert faces up to 10 years for negligent homicide and up to 50 years for racketeering, with sentencing scheduled for late September.
