Man Arrested for Abducting and Murdering Toddler Daughter of Former Girlfriend

A Michigan man, Rashad Trice, has been charged with nearly two dozen offenses, including first-degree premeditated murder and felony murder, in connection with the assault, kidnapping, and killing of his ex-girlfriend's 2-year-old daughter. Trice allegedly sexually assaulted and stabbed the victim before fleeing with the child, who was later found strangled with a pink cellphone charging cord. The charges carry a mandatory life sentence without parole if convicted. The case will be consolidated into one trial, and Trice is currently in custody.
