Man Convicted of Brutal Assaults and Forcing Women into Prostitution, Leaving One Blinded

Derick Jones, a man from Daytona Beach, has been found guilty of human trafficking and multiple other felonies for beating three women in 2022 to force them into prostitution. One victim was left blind due to the severity of the beatings. Evidence of human trafficking, prostitution, and illegal drugs was found in Jones' hotel room. He faces up to life in prison for his crimes and will be sentenced on July 13.
