Man Faces Charges for Pointing Gun at 6-Year-Old in Halloween Candy Mix-Up

A Long Island man, Michael Yifan Wen, was arrested and charged with menacing and endangering the welfare of a child after allegedly pointing a gun at a 6-year-old who mistakenly placed a Halloween candy bag on his porch. The incident occurred when the child and their sibling dropped off the candy at the wrong address and returned to retrieve it. Wen's attorney claimed that his client and his family had been terrorized recently by people banging on their door, leading to a misunderstanding. Wen's gun license was suspended, and he stated that no candy had been placed on his porch before that night.
