Memphis Investigates Remains of Three Children Believed to Have Been There for Years

Memphis police are investigating unidentified remains of three children (ages 3–7) who authorities say may have been in the area for years. A skull was found March 8 near a wooded area, a cadaver dog led investigators to a drainage pipe on March 10 (no remains then), and on April 1 another skull plus 14 bones were recovered. About 170 personnel from multiple agencies are assisting as investigators seek to identify the victims; the cause of death is undetermined, there is no active public threat, and the children were not listed as missing in Memphis.
