Minneapolis apartment shooting leaves two residents dead as gunman and officers injured

Two residents of a Minneapolis apartment building were killed and the suspected gunman died after a shooting that also injured three MPD officers. Victims were Dale Henry Spry, 63, and Muse A. Afrah, 61. Carlton Neal Johnson II, 35, opened fire during a domestic custody exchange and was killed in a police exchange. Officers Joseph Michnowski and Yahye Ahmed were injured, and a third officer, Ernest Boateng, was hurt by breaking glass; Liban Mohamed Ibrahim discharged a firearm during the incident. Johnson had been facing eviction, and investigators say it’s not yet clear if he targeted the victims.
