Missaukee shooting spree ends in five deaths as teen Bella clings to life

Five people were killed and a 13-year-old girl wounded in a mass shooting in Missaukee County, Michigan. The suspect, Chad Hickman, is dead after the attack at homes on South LaChance Road and nearby Jennings; his body and a 29-year-old woman were found near Whitlock Lake. Victims include Amanda Everitt, 40, a mother; her son Eric, 16; a 45-year-old man; and a 53-year-old man. Amanda’s granddaughter, Bella, 16, was shot four times but managed to call 911 and is clinging to life in a Grand Rapids hospital. The 13-year-old girl at the first home was wounded and listed in stable condition. Police have not disclosed a motive.
