Mother of 6-Year-Old Shooter Admits Guilt.

The mother of a 6-year-old boy who shot his teacher at a Virginia elementary school has pleaded guilty to federal charges of having a firearm while possessing marijuana and lying on a federal background check form about her marijuana use. Prosecutors are expected to ask for a sentence between 18 and 24 months when the 25-year-old is sentenced in October. The mother still faces state charges including felony child neglect. The teacher who was shot is suing the school district for $40 million.
