Multiple Police Investigations Underway in Charleston Following Incidents at Shopping Centers and Downtown Areas

The North Charleston Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting at a shopping center off Rivers Avenue. A suspect entered a discount store with a long rifle, prompting someone inside to call 911. As officers were setting up a perimeter, they heard a single gunshot and found the suspect with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. No other injuries were reported, and the incident is believed to be isolated. The area is currently under active investigation.
