NY homeowner blames hunters for fatal shooting of woman in wrong driveway

A New York homeowner, Kevin Monahan, has been charged with second-degree murder, reckless endangerment, and tampering with evidence after allegedly shooting and killing a 20-year-old woman, Kaylin Gillis, who pulled into the wrong driveway. Monahan claimed that hunters were responsible for the shooting and refused to leave his home when deputies arrived. He allegedly fired at the vehicle Gillis was riding in with three friends, with one of his shots striking Gillis. Monahan remains in jail, and a trial date has been set for September 7.
