Oklahoma man sentenced to life for triple murder and heart removal.

Lawrence Paul Anderson, an Oklahoma man who was released from prison as part of a mass commutation effort, has been sentenced to life in prison for the murder of three people, including a child. Anderson killed Andrea Blankenship, cut out her heart, and cooked it with potatoes before trying to serve it to his uncle and aunt. He then killed his uncle and his four-year-old granddaughter. Anderson pleaded guilty to three counts of murder in the first degree, one count of assault and battery with a deadly weapon, and one count of maiming. He received five life sentences, which will be served consecutively. Prosecutors did not seek the death penalty to avoid further harm to the family.
