Orange Crush event leads to chaos and safety concerns in Georgia beach town.

At least eight people were injured in multiple car crashes and a shooting on Highway 80 as thousands made their way to Orange Crush on Tybee Island, an unofficial beach bash for HBCU students. The event was unpermitted, and while authorities prepared for the beach’s chaos, the road to the party was a different story. A woman was shot in the back while in a car with five other people, and a man was arrested and charged with six counts of aggravated assault.
