Pennsylvania Mom Accused of Fatally Strangling Son and Fleeing to New Jersey.

Ruth DiRienzo-Whitehead, accused of murdering her 11-year-old son in Horsham, Pennsylvania, appeared in a New Jersey courtroom and waived her right to contest extradition back to Pennsylvania. She is charged with first-degree murder after allegedly strangling her son with her husband's belt as he slept. DiRienzo-Whitehead was found by police in New Jersey after her SUV was found partially submerged in the ocean. She told police she didn't want her son to grow up with her family's financial problems.
