Pennsylvania mother charged with murder after strangling 11-year-old son.

A Pennsylvania mother, Ruth DiRienzo-Whitehead, has been charged with first and second-degree murder after allegedly strangling her 11-year-old son, Matthew Whitehead, to death. She then drove her family's vehicle into the ocean off the coast of New Jersey and walked to a nearby town. The boy had spent the night with his mother, and his father discovered him dead in the master bedroom of the home the next morning. The mother is currently being held in Cape May County while awaiting extradition to Montgomery County. The motive for the crime has not yet been released.
