Police Fatally Shoot New Mexico Man After Responding to Wrong Address

A New Mexico man, Robert Dotson, was fatally shot by police after they mistakenly went to the wrong address while responding to a domestic violence call for a neighboring address. Dotson opened his screen door armed with a handgun, leading officers to fire at least one shot that struck him. Dotson's wife, who was also armed, fired from the doorway of the home, leading officers to fire again. The state police's investigations bureau is investigating the incident.
