Police Officer Accused of Lying to Proud Boys Leader about Leaks.

A Washington, D.C. police officer has been indicted on charges of obstruction of justice and making false statements after allegedly leaking confidential information to Proud Boys leader Enrique Tarrio and obstructing an investigation into the destruction of a Black Lives Matter banner. The indictment accuses Metropolitan Police Department Lt. Shane Lamond of lying to and misleading federal investigators about his contacts with Tarrio, who provided him with information about the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol. Lamond is scheduled to make his initial court appearance on Friday.
