"Prisoner Avenges Victims: I-5 Strangler Murderer Attacked in Prison"

California prisoner Jason Budrow confessed to strangling the infamous serial killer known as the "I-5 Strangler" in their shared prison cell, stating that it was a mission to avenge the killer's victims. Budrow, serving life without parole for a separate murder, admitted to planning and executing the murder of his cellmate, Roger Kibbe, and expressed no concern for legal consequences. Kibbe, who was serving multiple life sentences for raping and killing at least seven women and girls, was found dead in their cell, and Budrow was placed in administrative segregation. This is not the first time Budrow has confessed to murder, having previously admitted to another killing in 2010.
