Racism and Violence in Florida: A Series of Tragic Events.

Susan Lorincz, a Florida woman, has been charged with manslaughter, battery, culpable negligence, and two counts of assault for allegedly shooting and killing her neighbor, Ajike Owens, a young mother of four. Lorincz claimed Owens' children had threatened to kill her, despite her own history of violence towards the children, including referring to one as a "black slave." Police investigators revealed Lorincz had allegedly given Owens’ young children the middle finger on the night of the shooting. The accused shooter did not enter a plea during the hearing.
