Stephen Clare, a San Antonio man, is accused of shooting his ex-wife and their two young children, killing one of them. Court records confirm that Clare had recently been divorced from the woman. The couple had separated in January 2021, and the divorce was finalized in December. Clare is being held on bonds totaling $2 million and faces charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and capital murder of a person under the age of 10. The two other children belonging to the woman were able to escape from the home without being shot. Officials have not given an update on the condition of the 2-year-old victim since saying Monday night that she was in critical condition.
