Rocklin Man's Help Leads to Capture of Murder Suspect Eric Abril

A homeowner in Rocklin, California, played a crucial role in the capture of a murder suspect by directing law enforcement to the fugitive's location in his own backyard. Bill Sanchez spotted the suspect, Eric Abril, near Antelope Creek and immediately called 911. Law enforcement arrived within minutes and apprehended Abril, who had escaped from a medical center. The more than 24-hour manhunt had the community on edge, but the capture brought relief to Placer County. Abril is charged with murder and attempted murder in connection with a hostage situation at Mahany Park.
