
Georgia Manhunt Intensifies After Cop-Killer Targeted Arresting Officer
A 23-year-old suspect, Jimmie Steverson, is on the run after allegedly gunning down Warm Springs Police Sgt. Chris Fisher days after Fisher arrested him on weapon and drug charges, in what officials describe as a targeted attack. A Blue Alert was issued; Steverson is described as 5'6", 150 pounds with black dreadlocks, last seen driving a 2026 black Chevrolet Silverado. Fisher, a father of two, was killed outside a Meriwether County inn. Gov. Kemp expressed prayers for the family as investigators urge anyone with information to call 911 or the GBI tip line.
