San Diego mosque shooter studied infamous killers, dressed as them at school, records show

Court documents show 18-year-old Caleb Vazquez—co‑perpetrator in the Islamic Center of San Diego shooting—dressed up as infamous mass killers at school and kept a list of idolized attackers, including Patrick Crusius and Anders Behring Breivik. Vazquez reportedly researched mass shootings on the dark web, talked about joining the military, and had prior welfare checks and a gun-violence restraining order against him (later dismissed) as he and Cain Clark killed three people at the mosque and died in a murder‑suicide.
