Sen. Joe Manchin's Wife Injured in Police Chase Crash

Tradarryl Rishad Boykins, a Birmingham man with a history of felony convictions, has been charged with assault and other felonies after crashing into the SUV carrying Gayle Manchin, the wife of U.S. Sen. Joe Manchin, during a police chase from Homewood to Birmingham. Both Gayle Manchin and her colleague were injured and taken to UAB Hospital for treatment. Sen. Joe Manchin released a statement thanking first responders and stating that his wife is in stable condition but will remain in the hospital for precautionary measures.
