SF Clinician Charged in Grooming and Raping Juvenile Client

A 26-year-old San Francisco clinician, Sofia Drotts, is facing multiple felony charges for grooming a teenage client while she worked at a Martinez juvenile hall and then raping him after his release. Prosecutors say the abuse began when the boy was 14–15 and continued from 2024 into 2026, with charges including unlawful sexual intercourse in connection with the case, sexual penetration by a foreign object, sending harmful matter to a minor, oral copulation of a person under 18, and possession of child pornography. A civil suit against the county has been filed, and an arraignment will be scheduled; investigators say a supervisory team failed to flag red flags.
