Son of Mobster Receives Life Sentence for Plotting Father's Assassination

Anthony Zottola, son of reputed Mafia associate Sylvester Zottola, has been sentenced to life in prison for orchestrating his father's murder in a plot to control his father's real estate empire worth millions of dollars. The murder was carried out by a group of assassins hired by a leader of a notorious street gang. Anthony Zottola was convicted of murder-for-hire and conspiracy. His brother's attacker, Himen Ross, was also sentenced to life in prison. Sylvester Zottola had survived several unsuccessful assassination attempts before being fatally shot in a McDonald's drive-through in the Bronx in late 2018.
