Spate of Shootings Leave San Antonio Residents on Edge

A homeless man was shot and killed on W. Commerce near S. San Marcos in downtown San Antonio early Tuesday morning. The victim, who was about 30 years old, was shot in the chest and died at the scene. Police are investigating and hope surveillance video from nearby businesses will help identify the shooter. A friend of the victim told officers that the victim had a prior argument with two men and speculated one of them could have returned to shoot his friend.
