"Standoff in San Antonio: Two Officers Shot in Confrontation with Wanted Suspect"

Two San Antonio police officers were shot and seriously injured by a "very violent" and "dangerous" suspect who has barricaded himself inside an apartment on the West Side. The suspect, who is armed with a long gun, is wanted on three warrants and was being tracked by officers. The incident began after officers received a tip on the suspect's whereabouts. The suspect fled the scene in a vehicle and began shooting at the officers when they pursued him. One officer was hit by gunfire. The suspect and his driver carjacked another vehicle during a chase before the suspect fired more shots, hitting another officer multiple times. The suspect then ran into an apartment unit. Both injured officers have been hospitalized.
