Surviving 55 Hours of Terror: Alisa Mathewson's Story

Alisa Mathewson, a Florida mom, was held captive by her estranged husband Trevor Summers for 55 hours involving kidnapping, assault, and attempted murder. Trevor manipulated his children into believing he wanted to reconcile with Alisa, but it was all a plot to get her back. Alisa had to wear what Trevor would select, couldn't have men on her Facebook page, and couldn't ride in a car alone with a man. After asking for a divorce, Trevor's possessive behavior worsened, and Alisa was held in her own home as a prisoner. She finally escaped and sought refuge in a shelter for abused women.
